It is the process of controlling, monitoring and conserving energy in an organisation or a building. Its objective is to achieve and maintain optimum energy attainment and utilization in order to minimise energy cost and environmental effects. Energy management is the proactive, organized and systematic coordination of procurement, conversion, distribution and use of energy to meet the requirements, taking into account environmental and economic objectives.
